About Sea Glint

Accommodation is on three floors with living room, one double bedroom, two single bedrooms, kitchen dining room, bathroom and second WC. The top floor has been converted to a bright and spacious open plan lounge. From the kitchen door you can see the Bass Rock. The sheltered courtyard provides a quiet place to relax and enjoy the sounds of the sea and the gulls.

Sea Glint has great appeal and charm, is ideal for short breaks or longer stays throughout the year and suitable for couples or a small family. Its interior has genuine character and comfort with tasteful furnishings in a traditional style.

As some of our guests have allergies, we regret we cannot accept dogs or permit smoking.

A Bit Of History

Owned from 1828 by George Lumsden, watch and clockmaker from Pittenweem, then on his death in 1849 by his wife Agnes, the cottage was sold by the Lumsdens' son George in 1878 after his mother died. Pittenweem was home to a number of talented watch and clock makers throughout the late 18th and 19th centuries. These include Lumsden and his son and the famous John Smith (c1730-1814), maker of exhibition clocks, who made the original clock for Pittenweem church. All three are buried in Pittenweem church yard.

Weekly rental

Low Season: £520 January, February, March, November and December (excluding Christmas and New Year).

Mid Season: £645 April, May, September and October.

High Season: £790 July, August 

June: £695

Prices for Christmas and New Year to be agreed at time of booking.


Payment: A deposit of £100 on each week booked must be paid at the time of booking . The balance of rent is payable 6 weeks before the booked holiday dates.
